Lines for production of wood pellets

Domů » Production and business » Lines for production of wood pellets

We ensure the supply of complete technological lines for the production of wood pellets with a capacity of 2-4 tons of pellets per hour. Our main mission is to design the optimal business and technical solution according to customer requirements, including construction and assembly work, chief assembly, commissioning and staff training.

An experienced team of technical experts is ready to provide its business partners with effective support at all stages of the investment process.

Our technology is mainly focused on the processing of bark-infested, calamitous and, in a way, waste wood. We offer you a solution to make desirable, ecological and CO2 neutral goods from your low-quality material.

Basic technical parameters of the line

Hourly output:2 t pellets / hour. * Depending on the quality and moisture content of the feedstock
Power:450 kW
Water consumption (m3):1 m3 / day
Workforce:3-6 people / shift * Depending on the degree of mechanization and type of packaging
Built up area (m2):53 x 14 m2, height 7 m

Individual stages of the pellet production process:

1. Raw material preparation

2. Drying

3. Granulation

4. Cooling and sorting

5. Packaging

Individual stages of the pellet production process:

1. Raw material preparation

Wood debarker

  • ensures cleaning from the bark (debarking)

Splitter

  • used for splitting logs with a length of 2 m and a diameter of up to 800 mm into 4 parts with the required size for the cutter

Cutter

  • used for crushing wood into chips, dimensionally ideal for the production of pellets

Worm conveyor

  • serves to bring material (sawdust, chips) from the ground to another device (hopper, conveyor, bunker, etc.)

2. Drying

Boiler and drum dryer

The automatic drying system takes care of temperature regulation and sawdust supply to ensure regular and uniform drying of the maximum amount of material to the required moisture.

The 1,5 MW drum dryer and boiler complex is used to dry sawdust and chips with an input moisture of 20-85% to a moisture of 0-20% at the output. As an additional source of heat, we also use hot exhaust gases from the diesel generator, which increases the efficiency and economy of drying.

Diesel generator

It covers the total need for electricity in hard-to-reach places without the possibility of connecting to the electricity network.

Power:715 kVA / 570 kW, 400 V, 50 Hz
Consumption at maximum performance:120 l diesel / hour
Consumption at 400 kW:100 l diesel / hour
Noisiness:72 dB / 7m

3. Granulation

Sawdust, ground in a hammer mill, is transported to a vertical mixer, where it is homogenized. From there, they continue to the mixer-conditioner with the possibility of humidification (steaming) or dosing of liquid/dry ingredients. The sawdust prepared in this way enters the press-granulator, where, by rotating the cylinders on the matrix, they are pushed through the holes in the matrix under pressure and solid granules with a diameter of 6 or 8 mm are formed.

4. Cooling and sorting

In order to achieve the necessary mechanical properties of the pellets before packaging, it is necessary to cool them from 90° C to 30° C. The lignin becomes hard again and the pellets thus acquire a characteristic hardness.

From the cooler, the pellets are transported to a vibrating screen, where debris and dust are separated.

5. Packaging

The line enables packaging of finished products in big-bags for wholesale customers.

Pellets can also be packed in 15 kg bags, which are stored in 70 pieces per pallet. Packed and wrapped in stretch film in this way, the pellets can be stored for several seasons, which makes it possible to wait with their sale depending on the economic situation – prices on the market. It is one of the forms of energy storage, since energy has already been spent on the production of pellets (debarking, splitting, grinding, drying, pressing, etc.)
